Departure from the hotel at 07:30. Drive to Hoa Lu near Ninh Binh. Hoa Lu was the capital of an ancient Vietnamese kingdom called Dai Co Viet. We visit the remaining two temples: the Dinh Tien Hoang Temple and Le Hoan Temple, dedicated to the founder of the Dinh Dynasty and to his successor. Those who are willing and able to climb some two hundred steps can visit an upper temple. Drive to Tam Coc (Three Grottos) for a short rest and lunch at a local restaurant before transfer to small rowing boats to travel through the caves.

After lunch, one can bicycle along village roads, through beautiful scenery, and arrive at Bich Dong Cave. Those who don't want to cycle can follow in the bus.
Climb a short way up into the Ngu Hanh Son Mountain range and enjoy the magnificent scenery offered by the picturesque karst mountains, rivers and pagodas. The king conferred on Bich Dong the title "The second most beautiful grotto in Vietnam".
Return to Hanoi arriving at approximately 18:30.
