Welcome to Vietnam!.

Warm meet and greet by your private guide and driver.


You will start your visit of Vietnam with a short city tour of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. After lunch in Lemon Grass restaurant you will visit Cholon -  the Chinese quarter -  the Thien Hau and Giac Vien pagodas, and stroll through the immense Binh Tay Market. Continue with a visit of the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the presidents of South Vietnam, before 1975. Return to the hotel.

This morning you will be picked up from the hotel by your private guide and driver for your excursion to Tay Ninh and the Cu Chi tunnels.

 

Drive to Tay Ninh where you will visit the main church of Cao Daism. This religion, which is unique to Vietnam, is a universal faith with the principle that all religions have one same divine origin. You will arrive in Tay Ninh in time to witness the noon mass which is a colorful spectacle.

 

After the mass has finished you will have lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch we will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. During the Vietnam war the Vietcong dug out an extensive tunnel complex that served as a sanctuary in the fight against American forces. Part of the complex has been left in its original state. You can crawl through these tunnels, a harrowing experience indeed.

This morning you will be picked up by your private guide and driver, for transfer to Tan Son Nhut Airport for your flight to Danang.

 

Fly Ho Chi Minh City to Danang.


From Danang airport it's only a short drive to Hoi An, the picturesque port formerly known as Faifo.

Lunch will be at Full Moon restaurant serving the delicious dish "Cao Lao".

 

This afternoon you will explore Hoi An by foot with your private guide. You will visit the Museum of History and Culture, the Tan Ky house, the Japanese bridge, the Fujian Assembly Hall and other sights of interest.

Day 4: Hoi An

Hoi An is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the15th to the 19th century. Hoi An is another UNESCO World Heritage on your journey.

 

Today is free at leisure.

 

There are great shopping opportunities in Hoi An, or you can choose to follow a Vietnamese cooking class, which is much fun and an art you can take along with you and show your friends.

Day 5: Hoi An - Danang - Hanoi

After breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel by your private guide and driver.

Visit the nearby Marble Mountains and the famous Cham Museum in Danang. This museum displays artifacts from the culture of Champa. Lunch in local restaurant in Danang. We continue our drive to Danang Airport.

 

Fly from Danang to Hanoi.

 

Meet upon arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Day 6: Hanoi - Halong Bay

You will be picked up by your private guide and driver and transferred to Halong Bay, in the Gulf ofTonkin. Halong Bay includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. In 1994 Halong Bay was declared a UNESCO World Heritage.

After a three hour drive board Indochina  sail. After check-in and a welcome drink the cruise will start.

Enjoy lunch while the junk cruises through wonderful limestone scenery.

First destination will be lovely Titop Ilsand where you can have a swim, relax on the beach or walk up to the viewpoint.

Day 7: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Breakfast will be served at 07:00 hrs.

Morning cruise toward islets of Man's head, Tortoise and visit Luon Cave by a small bamboo row boat. Cruise through Bai Tu Long bay and head back to Ha Long City. Check out and enjoy brunch on board -Before noon we will arrive back at Ha Long pier.

Drive back to Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi

This morning  you will visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (1), his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature.

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Monday and Friday and in October and November. In this case we will visit one or more of the following museums: Army, History, National Fine Arts, Ethnology or Women's museum.

 

Afterwords, we head to Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. The Ngoc Son temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan Kiem Lake and dates back to the 13th century. The lake itself is a picturesque focal point of Hanoi, frequented by tourists and locals alike. Take a relaxing one hour cyclo tour through the Old Quarter. Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It's a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities.

 

Transfer to Hanoi Airport for departure.
