Public bus - are state run and operate throughout Laos. In general more often and frequent in the morning than in the afternoon. Although there is a schedule, which is followed in Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Savannakhet and Pakse. While in-between major towns buses are in general in a good shape, the standard and quality tends to get lower the further North or remoter the area gets.
